Lauren: So we've been around since 2001, haven't we? And in that time, we've generated over a billion pounds worth of leads for local, well generally Northwest businesses.

Phil: Yeah for Northwest businesses and businesses in the wider UK as well. And I guess there are a number of critical things that have allowed us to generate those high quality leads over that time and it starts with good SEO. It starts with really understanding the high value high intent keywords and ensuring that they're optimised within the site and that brings in that foundation of quality traffic.

Lauren: Yeah, quality is really important because we do get people coming to us, don't we? Who want a lot of volume, but we know it's more important the focus should be on quality because that's where you get your revenue from.

Phil: Yeah high volume traffic, if it's not of the right quality, is just about vanity. We know that. So yeah ensuring that it's, you know, even if the numbers are less, if the quality of that traffic is right it’s critical.

Lauren: So search intent, that's really important and there's another couple of things, isn't there as well, that we focus on here?

Phil: Yes, so once you've got that foundation of good SEO in place, for the medium and long term, you then overlay that with some really high quality laser targeted campaigns.

Lauren: Yeah, that's really important, isn't it? Because the more targeted it is, the more likely you are in turning a user into a lead, because you don't want to be going after everyone. The more generic it is the least likely you are to make a sale or find new clients for your business. So once you've got your laser targeted campaigns, it's what you plug in afterwards, isn't it? With retargeting and automation.

Phil: Yeah because you know that those those high quality campaigns paid campaigns that you do, you have to follow them up with retargeting, remarketing, or some kind of automation to really embed the good work you've done on the paid campaigns.

Lauren: So it's high intent SEO, it's laser targeted campaigns, and then finally it's about retargeting and automation?

Phil: Yeah and if you get all those three things right, the foundation has to be always around quality not volume, if you get the quality right, you'll get the traffic and you'll get the leads.
