About our team

Our team is 15-strong and around half are involved in delivering web projects for our clients, the other half are involved in promoting and optimising to generate leads for clients.

We have a 20-year track record in this area so have well-established methods and processes and we are better than most at delivering projects to a high standard and on time.

Purpose of this role

As the Senior Front End Web Developer at Bespoke, you’ll be responsible for the front-end development on our most important projects, as well as overseeing the front-end code delivered by the rest of the development team.

Your team will look to you for advice on how websites could look better, be built faster and be easy to maintain. They’ll also be grateful to have a colleague who is flexible, skilled, supportive and experienced in planning and building truly great websites.

Clients will look to you for recommendations on how their website could be faster and easier to use. They will be grateful for your attention to detail, and for delivery to spec and on time.

Your key skills/experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • 2+ years commercial experience in developing fast, responsive website front-ends

  • Excellent working knowledge of front-end languages including HTML/CSS (SCSS/SASS/PostCSS), modern CSS layout (Flex) and JavaScript (Vanilla/JQuery)

  • Experience with Version control systems (Git), Task runners (node/Gulp/Webpack) and writing OOCSS/BEM

  • A basic understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch or Figma

Experience working with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular etc.) or an eagerness to learn is advantageous, as is any back-end (Full stack) experience.
